Gusto
Connect Gusto payroll to show employees, job titles, departments and start dates. The terminal keeps name, job title, department, start date and whether the person still works there; nothing else is stored. It never reads pay, tax IDs, birth dates or addresses. Employees refresh every hour and are only read.
What it lights up #
- HR · employees and headcount by department
- Brand page · Team & Hiring
Before you start #
Sign in as the primary admin or a full-access admin of the Gusto company. Gusto connects one company per approval, so connect once for the whole company (Global), or once per brand when a brand runs its own Gusto company.
Connect it #
- Open Settings → Connections, find Gusto under People and press Connect on the row (or Add for a brand).
- Press Connect to Gusto and sign in to Gusto.
- Pick the company and approve read access. You land back on Connections, connected.
There is nothing to paste: the app's credentials belong to your VX Terminal provider.
How Test works #
Test reads the company name and counts employees with a fresh access token, for example "Connected to Acme Holdings · 42 employees". Nothing is changed.
Disconnecting #
In VX Terminal, open the connection and press Retire. In Gusto, connected apps are usually listed under App directory → Connected apps; open the app and choose Disconnect.
